My name is Eva Corijn
I’m a translator (Dutch/Swedish to English) and editor. Before I started fiddling around with commas and trying to beat Google Translate at its job, I worked as a communication professional in the NGO sector for several years. This taught me useful things like how to run a vaccination campaign in Malawi, but also how to really make a text work.
Today, I use that knowledge to provide my clients with flawless translations and texts (I leave the vaccination campaigns to others).

Translation
I translate from Dutch / Swedish to English and ensure the result sounds as good as the original (if not better).
Editing
I edit your text from A to Z. I polish the language until it sparkles, clear up the structure and get your message across.
Proofreading
The “quick” version of editing: I give your text a once-over, fixing any grammar or spelling mistakes.
Copywriting
I can write you anything from short web blurbs to feature-length articles, all in creative, passionate English.
Clients
I specialise in working with clients who make the world a better place. From brave women’s rights NGOs to international actors tackling climate change. Because I believe their story is worth telling.
I also work with select companies and actors who understand language matters. They want their message to stand out, to make readers pause and say “Oh wow. Tell me more!”

Languages
I grew up in a bilingual Dutch/English environment and started learning Swedish eleven years ago. (Last time a Swede guessed where I was from, “Norrland, perhaps?” was their pick.) I speak English with my closest friends, Dutch with my siblings and Swedish with my partner.
